I'm as clever as clever.
So I think I'll be six
now and forever.
A A Milne
Yesterday, my beautiful boy turned six. I can't believe the years have flown by so fast (and am in complete denial about reaching double numbers with his big sister later this year).
We celebrated with some presents,

Lego,

More lego,

And still more lego. I am not sure that the saying 'many hands make light work' applies when it comes to putting Lego together. I am also not sure that Grandad will ever volunteer for that job again.

A Nerf war with friends. Amazing how those darts just vanish....

A gingerbread house instead of a birthday cake.

And because Harry Potter had to make an appearance somewhere, and I always want a handmade by me gift in the mix, a couple of cushions. Heavily inspired by these ones that I saw for sale on Etsy.

I made a Harry one for my niece's birthday and the boy immediately requested his own 'and Malfoy to please mum'. I may have bitten off more than I can chew though, as the small girl has now requested a Dobby cushion.
Happy birthday gorgeous boy!

Malfoy is super cool! Love C and M helping out with the lego.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your lovely boy's birthday, and I really love those cushions. As for children growing, they have a bad habit of doing that, and no amount of stern words or dramatic sighs from me, seem to stop my two. I was just commenting to my DD (19 yr old), that since her brother was 13, I am finding it difficult to adjust to changing dynamic in the house. She is a university student and an adult who does her own thing, and he already has a man's voice, and so it seems that all of the children have gone from my house. And I am not going to talk about how EVERYONE in the family is now taller than me!
