As I sat on the floor in the dark last night, willing my smallest small back to sleep, I was trying to work out where the last three years had gone. It seems like only yesterday that I was waiting for my due date, then watching as the calendar ticked over to April and wondering when this baby was ever going to appear.
She came in her own good time, fourteen days after her due date, and still travels to the ticking of her own clock. There is no rushing this child! She is gorgeous, funny, spirited, stubborn, cute, cheeky, non-sleeping, always-chattering. And we wouldn't change her for the world.
Happy birthday Bloss!
A 12" doll I made for her birthday, with a doll quilt -
very specific request of pink hair, purple eyes and a strawberry shirt.
A gorgeous hobby horse handmade by Tamara from Two by Two
Quilt made by using Kristen Doran's goregous Ladybird fabric.
This quilt was a long time in the making, but finally done.
And last night I decided that a matching pillowcase was needed so made this one with fabric scraps from the quilt and quilted it with straight (ish) lines.

What a wonderful post full of delicious pinks and reds. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteAnd that hobby horse is wonderful!
My goodness! That quilt if beautiful! Lucky smallest small. And it's in red too. Swoon!
ReplyDeleteOh my, such beautiful things! I think I'll hire you to supply my birthday gifts this year. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm a little late on the comment but I love this quilt. I love the ladybugs in the quilting! So cute and the pillowcase is a nice added touch.
