A Giveaway for Christchurch

In the last few days I have been wondering two things:

• how I can help those people in Christchurch who have been affected by the earthquake - the stories I have been reading are just heartbreaking; and
• what to do with Molly, the doll I entered in this year's Canberra show.  It didn't feel right to sell her and I would have given her to my smallest who doesn't have one of these dolls of her own (she isn't three yet) but she is very specific in what she wants - pink hair and a pink cardigan.

A lovely lady on Facebook made a suggestion yesterday that linked the two together. 

For your chance to win sweet Molly, a blue-ribbon winning doll, all you need to do is donate $5 to the Red Cross New Zealand Earthquake Appeal 2011 and then comment here with your receipt number.  Every $5 you donate will give you an entry in the giveaway but please make every entry a separate comment and a separate receipt number.  I know it is painful to donate each $5 separately but it does keep things fair and simple.

Molly is a 16" waldorf style doll.  She is made from clean, carded sheep's wool and cotton tricot.  Her hair is a wool/alpaca blend.  Her cardigan is hand knitted from pure wool, and her clothes are cotton.  The flower on her skirt is from some vintage lace that was given to me by my Nan. Her shoes are wool felt.  There are small buttons on her shoes.  These are purely decorative and can be removed without affecting the shoes at all.  As well as the outfit she is wearing Molly will come with a change of clothes.
