I finally finished her at about 1am on Chrismas morning, and think she is pretty cute. Bloss on the other hand unwrapped her, said 'No shoes' and moved on to her new Upsy Daisy doll (which by the way has shoes). I have so far resisted the urge to hide every other doll in the house and am hoping she will grow to be loved.

A baby for Bloss
After finishing all my Christmas orders, I had one last doll left to make - a baby for Bloss.

Have yourself a very Merry Christmas
Sorry it has been a bit quiet around here lately, I have been very busy finishing custom orders for Christmas. Quite a few Poppy, Bean and Bloss dolls will be appearing under Christmas trees tomorrow.
These girls have all left for their new homes in the last two weeks (thankfully most were local so the Australia Post dramas haven't mattered). Now they are done there will be no more night where I am still at the sewing machine past Christmas.
We have had a busy and exciting year this year with a house move, renovations, first ever markets and my dolls really taking off. Here's to an equally exciting
year next year (without the renovations!)
I hope you and yours have a wonderful, relaxing Christmas and New Year.

Spoilt!
All day Saturday I looked at Michelle's gorgeous pouches and resisted the urge to buy myself a Sunnyboy. I bought a couple of sox boxes for the kids to keep their treasures in, but ignored the Sunnyboy that was calling me.
Sunday was time for Brown Owls. And a gorgeous lady came in and gifted me with the very Sunnyboy I had been drooling over the day before (maybe she couldn't sell it because of the droll marks?). So I feel very spoilt and special now.
Thank you Michelle for being such a generous soul, and being great company at Locally Made on Saturday. I had a lovely time eatng, chatting and listening to jazz even if the sales were slow.
Michelle has just restocked her Etsy store so if you are looking for a gorgeous and super useful Christmas gift, hurry on over.

Pearl Barley
I have a fair few custom orders to finish for Christmas. This is one that was finished off last week. I had a request for a doll based on the character Pearl Barley from Aaron Blabey's fantastic book Pearl Barley and Charlie Parsley.
I love the colour of her hair! Hopefully she will be a big hit come Christmas morning.

My creative space
My creative space today is prepping for my last market of the year. I am working on art folders today - a few finished ones that need pencils, books etc added and a few that I am hoping to have sewn up today.
I am very much in love with this puppy dog fabric. I have no idea what it is as the selvedge is in Japanese but it is very cute!
I am looking forward Saturday's market as I get to share some space with Michelle. I already own two of her sock boxes but I can almost guarantee it will be three before the end of the day.
If you are in Canberra and looking for a fun day out head to MOCCA fair - Manuka Childcare Centre on Flinders Way in Manuka from 9.30 - 4.30 on Saturday. As well as great handmade goodies there will be face painting, a petting zoo and more. Lots more creative spaces over at Kirsty's.
Oh, we have carpet. And everyone is back in their own rooms. Hooray!!!

The lovely Jen from Red Instead took some product photos for me last week. These are a few of my favourites.

My creative space
My creative space today is all about the end of year concert. The boy has his end of year playschool concert today and he is very excited - infact he tells me he is going to sing so loud he will blow us off our chairs!
Tomorrow and Saturday is the big girl's ballet concert. I am probably breaking some unwritten dancing school rule by posting a photo of her costume so shh, don't tell...
The sparkly red number next to the ballet costume is mine. I still need to fix the hem on my pants, and put a hook and eye on the jacket. I am very much in denial about the fact that I will be tap dancing on stage in front of an audience three times in the next few days. I love my tap class, but do it for fun and the thought of appearing on stage makes me feel ill.
One of the disadvantages of being tall is that when you get arranged by height you quite often end up centre stage. At least we will be wearing hats. I will be the one messing up the steps.
Lots more creative spaces over here.
