I did manage to snaffle a few things before my sewing space was over run. To preserve my sanity I have started to cut into Kristen Doran's Ladybird fabric I have been hoarding for over a year. My plan is to make a cuddle quilt for Bloss in reds and whites. Actually my plan is to make each of my kids a cuddle quilt for Christmas, but I am not making any promises.
Lots more creative spaces over at Kirsty's
EDIT: I just (at 12.30pm) realised that it is Wednesday today, not Thursday. While I could claim that I am just super organised, it is really a sign of the addled state that my brain is in amongst all the chaos and sharing a mattress with little people who don't lie still (and another little person who thinks the day starts at 4.30 even if it is pitch black outside). So you won't find any creative spaces at Kirsty's till tomorrow when the rest of the world catches up with me. Luckily I managed to send Poppy off to school in the right uniform this morning!

Gorgeous fabric. Oh I certainly would not enjoy sleeping on the floor without heating in this cold windy rainy weather. Good luck.
ReplyDeleteBloody plasterer! How annoying. Hope you can find somewhere warmer and nicer to sleep over the next week.
ReplyDeleteYou poor thing I hope your chaos settles down and you get your bed back soon....
ReplyDeleteI semi share a bed with the little one so I know it can be a challenge!!
I can relate...I'm both excited about & dreading the relocation of our family & the creative space. xx
ReplyDeleteGood luck - we have done that too during plastering .... it will be worth in in the end.
ReplyDeletewow that fabric is sooo gorgeous
ReplyDeleteThe fact that you are still functioning under these conditions is truly admirable. I would be rocking in a corner of the kitchen by now. I hope playing with that lovely fabric takes you to your happy place.
ReplyDeleteEarly or late, I think it's pretty imcredible that you are achieving anything under those conditions. Love that fabric.
ReplyDeleteI'd imagine it was fun camping on the floor for the first night. . .
ReplyDeleteMy studio got used for furniture storage for a few months earler this year. Such a releif to have it back!
Funnily enough, I thought it was Friday for a while there this morning. Thank goodliness I'm not the only one. In the meanwhile, may the temperatures be mild and the plasterer early!
ReplyDeleteHope you're back in a more comfortable sleeping environment soon! Lovin' that ladybug fabric.
ReplyDelete((((Hugs)))Michelle! Why don't you ask the plaster if he can put you up for the week? I'd be hassling him (but I'm pushy LOL).
ReplyDeleteWe've got something weird going on here this week - to see why, go have a look at my space :) I've been hoarding the notebook plus a couple of others and a bunch of fabric for over a year too.
I
just
can't
cut
it
!
I so understand..we have renovating for 2 yrs, one pregnancy and a birth ... I love that youstill find time to creative something divine for your kids. Peta
ReplyDeleteJust keep your eyes focused on that gorgeous fabric! :-)
ReplyDeleteI love the fabric. It is so cute.
ReplyDeleteOh Michelle... oh Michelle. I want to tell you to pack up and come stay over here. But I'm guessing you don;t need to add sick kids to your list of 'challenges' at the moment.
ReplyDeleteRather than say imagine how great it will be, blah blah blah, I'll tell you what you want to hear.. the truth. What a crappy situation to be in. The loungeroom beds, the wiggly children, the off ducted heating, the away husband... don't worry about getting your days wrong. That fact you are not sitting in a corner rocking is credit to you!! Hang in there.
And that fabric is to die for. Beautiful.
that fabric is joyous isn't it? as a renovater from way back i feel your pain. plastering is the worst. just think of how gorgeous it will be when it's done and quilt to your hearts content.
ReplyDeleteIt would be hotel time for me I am afraid!
ReplyDeleteThat fabric bundle looks really delicious!
Oh my. Let's see, it's saturday now, so a couple of days after you posted this, so I hope that by now you have found ways to easen the chaos. Good luck with all of that and have fun with the lovely fabric.
